Tunes
Tune & style
Form is the order the parts play in, e.g. AABB, or A A2 B B2 when part names are longer than one letter. Swing pushes the off-beats late, as in hornpipes; in jigs it adds a gentle lilt. Changes save to the tune automatically.
Chords
Separate bars with |, any number of bars to a line. If the tune has sections, put each section’s name on its own line, like A:, with its bars underneath; then Form sets the order they play in. Without section names the tune plays straight through.
First and second endings. Put each ending on its own line after the section’s bars, starting 1: and 2:. With Form AA, section A plays ending 1 the first time and ending 2 the second.
Changing chord within a bar. Chords in a bar share it equally, so G D is half and half. For an uneven split, write one symbol per beat and hold with ., or give a beat count with *:
% repeats the previous bar and N.C. is silence. Chords like Em D7 Dsus4 G/B A5 all work.
Untitled tune
Tap a bar to start from there. With Loop on, playback returns to that bar, so you can drill one part.

Instrument sounds
Each instrument uses recorded samples when there are some, and the built-in synth otherwise. Press Listen to hear one. To use your own recordings, press Add files (or drop them on a row). They stay in this browser.
Name files by what they are: single notes like G3.mp3 or F#2-soft.mp3, whole strums like chord-G-down.mp3 and chord-Em-up.mp3, and drum hits like low-loud-1.mp3 or top-soft-2.mp3.
